The web design project for the private high school was led by me, the designer, with a focus on creating a user-friendly and visually appealing website that effectively communicated the institution's values, programs, and services to its target audience. The first step in the project was to develop a solid information architecture that organized the content in a logical and intuitive manner. I categorized information into different sections such as admissions, academics, extracurricular activities, and alumni to ensure that users could easily find the information they were looking for.
Color theory played a crucial role in the design process, as I carefully selected a color palette that reflected the school's branding and created a cohesive look and feel across all pages. Additionally, I focused on creating a clean and modern aesthetic for the website, using white space, minimalistic design elements, and contemporary typography to enhance the overall user experience.
In order to maintain consistency and streamline the design process, I implemented design systems and widgets throughout the website. This included reusable components such as buttons, navigation bars, and page layouts, which not only helped to create a cohesive design but also made it easier to update and maintain the website in the future. By leveraging design systems and widgets, I was able to speed up the development process and ensure a consistent user experience across all pages of the website.
